Gubb & Mackie's Spring/Summer 2017 collection draws it's inspiration from the founding era of the brand: post-war 1950s and 60s.
The collection references the sportswear and resort clothing of this period with a strong focus on patterns and colours from this time including turquoise, lemon, washed out reds and sage green. Texture also pulls from this reference point with fine corduroys, seersucker and floral prints being prominent.
The collection includes a range of sportswear: sweatshirts, swim shorts and printed t-shirts – maintaining Gubb & Mackie's focus on New Zealand made production gives a premium edge to this offering. Travel and leisure remains at the core of the range with the inclusion of military styled travel jackets, sport trousers and relaxed linen shirts, shorts and trousers that embody the practical sensibility the brand is heralded for, and are as comfortable when worn at work, the weekend or whilst holidaying.
